We’ve reached the end of 2015, and the end of my first year of blogging. More on that in a post very soon… In this post, I wanted to take a look back on what have been your favourite recipes from 2015! This post is part of the Make It Happen Blog Hop, which I have been hosting with a bunch of other fabulous bloggers during 2015, read on for some exciting changes coming to the blog hop, and how you can get involved!

Before we get into the top 5 posts, the Make It Happen Blog Hop is going through some exciting changes in 2016, and we want you all to be a part of it! From February 2016 we will be hosting the Taste Creations Link Up!
Each month, we will be choosing an ingredient, then your job is to create a dish or recipe incorporating that ingredient in some way. There are absolutely no rules on how you include it, so be as creative as you like! You can then add your blog post containing your Taste Creation to the linkup which will be at the bottom of the blog post!
The linkup will go live at 7pm (central US time) on the first Monday of every month and will be open for you to submit your recipes for 7 days. We will pick our favourites to feature the next month!
February’s ingredient is… Leeks!
Submission will be open from Monday 1st February at 7pm (CT) for 7 days. Come back here between those times to add your recipe featuring leeks! We can’t wait to see what you create!
Now for the recipes!
5. How to Poach the Perfect Egg.
This video was so popular! I loved sharing a skill as well as a recipe in this one! Check it out if you haven’t ever mastered egg poaching!
4. 4 Ingredient Nutella Truffles
This post was part of the Make It Happen Blog Hop series, where I tried my hand at following a recipe in German with no translation help! The result was pretty delicious…
3. Garlic and Rosemary Hasselback Potatoes
These potatoes were addictively delicious. Crispy, golden and garlicky, what more could you want from a potato?
2. Chocolate Guinness Cake
I think this was one of my favourites too, this did not last long at all…
1. Earl Grey Tea Macarons
By far, this is the most popular recipe from 2015! I love making macarons, they are one of those things that are so satisfying to master. If you’ve never made macarons before, I’d suggest reading this complete guide before trying them out!

Lauren, everything looks amazing, Im dying to try the potatoes and the truffles. Have a wonderful New Year.
Thanks Rosemary! Both good choices hehe! Happy New Year to you as well, can’t wait for what this year holds with Taste Creations!
Have tried the hasselback potatoes and can attest to the fact that they both taste amazing, but also really impress if you’ve got friends over for dinner. Slightly more effort but haven’t failed yet! ?
Also a video on making macarons would be fab – I am also scared to try them again! ?
Awwww hi!!! Nice to see you over here! The hasselback’s are amazing. Ok, I think the macaron video might be a popular one. I’ll add it to my list for this year!
How on earth did I miss those nutella truffles first time round?? They look SO good!
Thanks Kirsty! Yes definitely go make them, nutella is NEVER a bad thing!! Hope you will join us for the Taste Creations link up!
These all sound amazing. I would love to make macarons, but they scare me.
Aww don’t let them scare you, they are delicious! Have a read of the guide then maybe give them a go? I might make a video on it some time as I had such a great time mastering them!
The potatoes look perfect! I am a HUGE potato fan, so I’ll give that recipe a try! Happy New Year!
Thanks Lauren! They were one of my favourites too, they are always a hit!
