Kitchen Aid Hand Blender Giveaway

I wish I could give everyone who stops by and spends time at my blog a gift. I really and truly do.

I cannot actually give you all something, but I can give a few of you something.

So in honor of my blog’s 3rd birthday (or anniversary or whatever you want to call it), I’m going to post some great giveaways starting today and finishing up at the end of next week.

First up we have a Kitchen Aid 5 Speed Hand Blender.

This item was given to me (or rather, I won it through my participation in a blogging event), and I was really excited when it arrived: it looks like a fantastic kitchen gadget. It’s like an immersion blender on steroids: among other tasks, you can use it to blend smoothies, chop nuts, froth cappuccinos, shred vegetables and whisk egg whites.

Because it sat unopened in my garage for a few weeks, I realized this hand blender is just not something that I really need in my kitchen.

So I want one of you to have it :)

While Kitchen Aid was nice enough to give this to me, this giveaway is not officially sponsored by them; the item is mine and I will be shipping it to the winner (and covering the cost of the shipping, of course). As stated above, this hand blender is brand new and I never opened the box (please note that the box came to me a bit banged up, though).

So there you have it…a Kitchen Aid Hand Blender will be going to one of you as my way of saying thanks for helping to make my first three years of blogging a fantastic experience. This item is valued at $99.99 and you can read more about it here.

To enter, please leave a comment below.

For an additional entry, follow me on twitter then leave an additional comment letting me know that you did.

Official Rules: No purchase necessary. Open to US residents only. This giveaway will end on Monday May 14th 2012 at 11:59 pm EST. One winner with a valid entry will be selected at random using random.org. Winner will be notified by email and will have 48 hours to claim their prize or another winner will be selected.

  7. I am totally new to the blogging world (and I am just a reader, not a blogger). I ventured into this online world in search of information on a cookbook to choose for a nutrition class I am teaching this summer….anyway, here I am, and I see that blogs also have giveaways?! I’d love to win this blender because my immersion is one of my favorite and most used kitchen appliances, and it is fairly old and sticky. I have given these as gifts but will not upgrade myself until it quits working for me – or until I win! :)

    ***Great blog, by the way

  10. I gave my food processor to a friend that really needed one thinking I would have the money to replace it and that it wouldn’t be missed that badly for such a short time. Boy was a WRONG! I miss it sorely, but just can’t spend the money currently as I was laid-off; and to top it off my hand mixer just went to the land of happy kitchens last week. (It died a sad sputtering death on my counter.) The mixer would replace both of my beloved kitchen pals, and would find much love and work in its new home. ; ) Happy Cooking All!

  13. Happy 3rd blog birthday.

What a cool giveaway. I think it will mix lots of great things for someone in the future.

I love this blog and the idea of a gratitude session daily, wherever, is great idea. I think I will add that to our daily huddles at work.

I have a 30 year old nephew who is waiting a heart transplant and I am so grateful he made it to 30 before he has to do this. I’ll make him smoothies with this.

  43. Winnie – congrats on 3 yrs! Just love the recipes and tips!

I became seriously more conscious of making a change for living a healthy lifestyle when diagnosed with COPD 7 yrs ago. I am now on oxygen 24/7 and it has become very difficult to handle and perform just ordinary day to day tasks, (ie bathing, dressing, house cleaning, laundry, cooking, etc.) I really am not supposed to cook due to the oxygen usage but I have to out of necessity or “don’t eat”. Because of that challenge, I have been trying to convert to any type of healthy cooking appliances and accessories that will ease the workload. Funny I was just looking at an immersion blender like this one on ebay last week thinking I’d like to get one of those as it would make many tasks so much easier.

So please add me to your entry. I’m sorry I don’t tweet so will not be able to double my entry! :(

Again, thank you for the time and your dedication in sharing to help others!

    Blessings
    Patti

It makes me so happy when a new post arrives in my email inbox and I get to sit back and read about one of your fun episodes in your garden and adventures with beautiful food (and drinks!), and your awesome recipes! Like any kid (yup, what), I first look at all the pictures, LOVE the pictures. So, thanks for being here. Until I have my own home sweet home with a colorful vegetable and herb garden and egg laying hens, I’m glad to have your blog to live vicariously through. :))
(btw, I felt compelled to comment just to congratulate you on 3 years. I don’t need an immersion blender. I have one I rarely use and I like to whisk by hand. Plus, I have a vitamix. The dream machine!)
