I am a big fan of both intentional exercise and NEAT (Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis). I believe daily movement contributes to good health, and I think a device such as the Fitbit can encourage you to be more active.

To thank all of you for being my readers, I’m going to give one of you a Fitbit!

Fitbit Giveaway | Healthy Green Kitchen

The Fitbit is a wireless activity tracker. It monitors things like how many steps you take and how many calories you burn. It also lets you know how much you sleep and it can function as an alarm in the morning. You may synch your Fitbit with your computer or your smartphone and use an app to log your food intake in order to aid the process of weight loss or weight maintenance.

I was going to give away the newest Fitbit model, the Fitbit Force, but Amazon.com doesn’t have them in stock right now. So instead, you can choose between a Fitbit One and a Fitbit Flex. The Fitbit One has received better reviews. You wear it in your pocket, on a belt, or in your bra (only problem is I’ve heard it’s pretty easy to lose); the Flex can be worn on your wrist. If you win, you can choose whichever one you prefer.

I will also send the winner a signed copy of my soon-to-be-released book One Simple Change: Surprisingly Easy Ways to Transform Your Life! The book will be available for shipping on December 3, 2013 but I have a copy right here I’ll be sending to the winner before that…you’ll be one of the first to see the book :)

This giveaway is sponsored by ME. I am paying for the Fitbit and the shipping as a way to thank to you all for reading my blog. The total value of this package including the shipping is a little over $100. Note that his giveaway is only open to my readers in the USA. Also note that If you win and you really prefer to wait for the Fitbit Force, I will send you a $100 Amazon.com gift card that you can put toward one. If you already have a Fitbit and you win, I can either send you another one (for you to give away to someone you love), or I can send you a $100 Amazon.com gift card. Your choice.

You may gain bonus entries for signing up for my newsletter (this will ensure you receive my blog email updates and/or my monthly newsletter), liking my Facebook page, and following me on twitter. 61. 61

    Suzanne — November 12, 2013 @ 7:08 pm

You are so kind and thoughtful to offer this! A Fibit seems like it would be much better than the little pedometer my work gives us to track our steps – 10,000/day goal. I’ve lost three already because they fall off easily.

I’m still looking forward to your “upcoming” article about your experience with eliminating foods and having more food sensitivities as a result. :-)

I just had my lapband removed after 4 years. Dr also removed my gall bladder and did a gastric bypass (leaving me a larger than normal pouch though). Two days later my intestines twisted and obstructed my bowels causing leakage. I spent nearly 2 months in the hosp and though my last tests show normal organ functions now, I struggle daily to maintain energy levels high enough to do basic house work. The Dr it will take time, but my energy will return and I will be able to work out and walk again. I would love this help encourage me to finish the journey I started 4 years ago!

I stopped smoking 4 1/2 years ago,and gained 15 pounds! I started walking 2 years ago in order to decrease the weight gain. Well to my surprise my back improved
, I felt stronger, slimmed down inches on my belly, but….lost onlY 2 pounds :(
The fitbit seems like it could help bring my health to the next level? I saw that you can track blood sugars too! My Dr. Said I am pre- diabetic as my A1C was elevated, hence why the weight trouble
. It seems that there would be a WOW factor to the Fitbit. And would LOVE LOVE LOVE AND LOVE AGAIN TO WIN IT -))

This past year, I have been on steroids for one reason or another 4-5x. The weight my body has gained is unreal for me. I am slowly trying to get this off the healthy lifestyle way. Having 5 kids, I don’t always notice how much I move or how little. This would go a long way in my journey back to Me. I have been wanting a fitbit but with 5 kids, I always have other people whose needs come first. This would be a great step forward in taking care of Me again! Thank you and I’m excited to start following you on your blog. Thanks Nicole at Pinch My Salt for leading me here!

I have been struggling with concentration levels for quick some time and would love to find a natural way to remedy this situation and or improve it. I suspect my sleep is suffering since I have young children with very erratic sleep patterns but can’t really tell.

I think I should win the fitbit watch because im 17 years old I weigh 185lbs 4’10 I Really dont want to be over weight on Prom night wich is Next Year, its suppose to be one of the happiest days in life and I figure I wont be happy if im over weight during Graduation/Prom night.. More than most likely I will not go if im still over weight. I believe if I had the watch it would motivate me to lose weight eat healthy and exercise everyday:)

I’ve actually been looking at the Fitbit Force! I’d really like to get one for hubby and me so we can have a little competition to get more steps in, better sleep, etc. Thanks for the giveaway!
