I’ve got a fun little giveaway for you, my friends :)
Ball just released these limited edition vintage-inspired blue jars, and they’ve offered to give a box of them (6 jars in all) to one of you! These jars are part of the Ball Heritage Collection and they’re really beautiful.
I don’t know about you, but I am more likely to drink lots of water when it’s in a pretty glass, and these blue jars are just perfect! They’re also terrific for decorating, canning, as a vase for flowers, etc. The jars are pint-sized and they have small openings, which makes them just right for covering with EcoJarz (stay tuned: I am going to be giving away a few of these awesome eco-friendly jar toppers very soon). The lids the jars come with are 100% BPA-free, as well.
As I mentioned above, these are a limited edition, so don’t wait to get yourself some of these lovely jars! (You can also purchase them here.)
Official Rules for the Giveaway: No purchase necessary. Open to US residents over 18 years of age only. This giveaway will end on Tuesday March 19th, 2013 at 11:59 pm EST. One winner with a valid entry will be selected at random using random.org. Winner will be notified by email and will have 48 hours to claim their prize or another winner will be selected.
To enter, please leave a comment below. This giveaway is now closed.

Hi! I’m an upstate New Yorker too!
I started collecting blue Ball canning jars this summer and used a couple of them as my souvenir containers for our vacation to Chincoteague. I put some beach sand and shells in one and filled another just with shells. Then added a tag with the date and place of our vacation inside the jar, like a note in a bottle.
So, I’d love to get my hands on these! I love the blue! Where can you order them from?
Lori — March 16, 2013 @ 12:04 am
Oh my goodness! I love these! And the drinking lid too. On to my wish list they go!

I just discovered your site today and came across this – when I saw your photo of these blue Ball jars I inadvertently let out an “Ohhhh…!!!!” I have collected a few blue vintage blues over the years and just last week knocked one off of the counter and nearly wept when it shattered. I have recently begun to foray into the intriguing world of Nourishing Traditions in an attempt to remineralize my 8 year old’s teeth, and to share the joy of natural food preparation with my boys. Winning a set of these blue jars would bring some extra sparkle into our shared cooking! Thanks for the gorgeous giveaway to herald in Spring!
Michelle in Colorado — March 16, 2013 @ 7:47 pm
These look so cool.
Elizabeth Perry — March 16, 2013 @ 7:51 pm

cathy — March 16, 2013 @ 9:05 pm
These are awesome! I have a serious jar collection, probably over fifty jars of all shapes and sizes, but canning jars are one of my favorites! These would look so pretty displayed on my kitchen table filled with fresh cut flowers.
Barbara — March 16, 2013 @ 9:19 pm
Lovely jars! And blue is my favorite color too.
Simone — March 16, 2013 @ 10:01 pm
My boyfriend and I may have to live apart for our jobs (oh, but we are grateful to have work at all!)… Say, it occurred to me that my heart might be lightened if I could surprise him by sending him off with some home-made jams and jellies in those delightful blue canning jars. ;)
Sara — March 16, 2013 @ 10:12 pm
Gorgeous! I need to get my hands on some of these. I think they would be great with my canned peaches this summer.

I love these blue glass mason jars.. I’ve been putting all my powders (cacao, lucuma, maca, etc.), superfoods (hemp seeds, goji berries, nuts, etc.) and everything else (shredded coconut, cacao butter, nut butters, etc.) in glass mason jars, but these blue jars would be so great for my green smoothies and other liquid concoctions! Not to mention that blue is my fave color! Thanks!

We drink all our water at home out of Ball jars and these are extra pretty! My favorite is to drop half a lemon into the jar and then fill with sparkling water (we use a Sodastream and one bottle fills a large Ball jar perfectly.) We drink so much more water this way!
Emily — March 19, 2013 @ 11:54 am
