On of my favorite Hudson Valley places to roam with my camera is the Buttermilk Falls Inn and Spa.

I was recently gifted a spa treatment there (thank you Cousin Kerry!), so after my hour of pampering, I took a stroll around the grounds of this wondrous place. I’ve shared photos of some of the animals who call Buttermilk home before…here are the ones that caught my eye this time around…

I think I need to add some “funky chickens” like these to my flock. LOVE THEM.

While I prefer not to have a rooster here at my home, I just adore this little guy and his ‘tude.

More chicken/rooster awesomeness.

Magical geese…

I really want to cuddle with these llamas :)

I can not stress enough how beautiful this place is! Plus the spa is fabulous and there’s a new restaurant on the premises- Henry’s Farm to Table- that serves local food. If you’re looking for an eco-friendly getaway in the Hudson Valley area, definitely check out the Buttermilk Falls Inn and Spa..

I can’t wait to get some chickens once we have a proper backyard. I think I shall retire to the country and raise Alpaca.

I think I need to move; every time I see a picture of chickens now I want some of my own; you have changed my entire perception. I am chuckling…think my perception was of those roosters with the ‘tude’ and I unfairly lumped all of them together. The girls and I would have a blast!

Like Barb, I want chickens SOOOOOOO bad. But in the meantime, I feel so lucky to have taken a little break today, gazing at your wonderful photos and imagining I was at a spa.

This place looks great! I know my neighbors have been there before but I never have. We should go have a fabulous lunch, get a massage and roam the grounds sometime :)
