I am guest posting over at my lovely friend Brandy’s site Nutmeg Nanny today…

vanilla ice cream

…because she’s having an ice cream social!

I brought a batch of Bourbon Vanilla Ice Cream.

It’s my new favorite vanilla ice cream recipe…so great on it’s own, or with just about any summery fruit dessert or sauce (in these photos, you see it topped with a sauce I made from peaches and rose petals).

I just popped over to Nutmeg Nanny to see this post, but I wanted to write and tell you that I am obsessed with that Lee Brothers book. I came across it, by accident, and have since made many things from it. This ice cream is sure to be on my list soon.
